Expo + Events Technical Manager

In this role, you should fully manage all elements of our technical logistical delivery ensuring our resources are utilised in the most efficient and productive way, promoting best value, maximising our profit whilst at all times adhering to company's policies and procedures. You will ensure we maintain the highest standards of health and safety so that all QHSE, Legal and other requirements are met whilst championing world class customer-focused service in line with our vision and values whilst managing the delivery of technical logistics solutions.,

• Manage technical solutions design, implementation and demobilisation for MHE, crane and labour based solutions on our events
• Provide the relevant guidance for planning, organising and undertaking lifting operations on all event deployments
• Client & venue facing engagement for solution design approval and implementation management
• Small requirement for international travel alongside a large requirement for domestic travel in order to support the events onsite operations
• Manage inhouse resource and contractor base for solution implementation
• Liaise with internal teams including QSHE and procurement planning to establish safety, health, welfare and environmental systems for lifting & crewing operations for event delivery
• Management of technical delivery budget
• Attend client meetings as required including operationally focused and or tender meetings
• Promote innovation and technology as improvement tools and ensure adherence to current technology practices

• Technical Operational experience including contract lifts
• Ability to work in high pressure environments
• Experience of working proactively to overcome operational challenges
• Experience of working to targets and deadlines.
• Full driving license
• Experience with traffic management is a plus.
• Knowledge of customs clearance , ATA Carnets, Temporary Import etc. is a plus
• Sea, Air and Road freight experience (ideally project based) is a plus
• Customer focused
• Good admin and organisation skills are also key to this role.
