Full Job Description

We are looking for External Manufacturing Operations Leads who are accountable and results orientated to join us in our External Manufacturing team (based in Slough, U.K., and Belgium), As a UCB External Manufacturing Operations Lead, you are accountable for leading the operational management of UCB's global Contract Manufacturers / strategic vendors. What you'll do

  • You will work within the department of External Manufacturing Operations, Drug Product and Devices
  • You will be the key person of contact for the CDMO/vendor for all issues related to the management of operations, including relationship management and support in business activities
  • You lead cross-functional UCB Vendor Teams for CDMOs in your portfolio to assure continuous supply of compliant products and related services.
  • Depending on the specific position in the department, you may have line management responsibility for a team of Operations Leads
  • You manage projects and programs moving through early phase development into commercial including new product introductions and lifecycle management / process improvements
  • You provide technical support to UCB affiliate team who oversee the operational management of local CMOs.
  • You support due diligence activities and implementation of the UCB industrial manufacturing strategy related to local and global CDMOs.
  • You represent the External Manufacturing Team in transversal project / improvement programs.

    You have a Master's degree with minimum 10 years of significant operations management experience in GMP environment (DP and Device manufacturing).
  • You demonstrate an experience in Pharmaceutical Project Management.
  • You possess strong technical knowledge relating to Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (ideally in both drug product and devices)
  • You should be experienced and familiar with the latest Regulatory requirements and best practices essential to ensure compliance and robustness, and to drive future improvements
  • You are fluent in English (written &spoken), French is a plus, and available to travel outside of the U.K several times per year.
  • You can lead multi-functional teams, influence others, hold teams accountable, results orientated, able to manage complex projects from development through commercialization and to attain results.
  • You must be able to manage external business partners and relationships to influence partners to deliver results that UCB needs.
