  • Providing policy or issues-based research and briefings, prioritising inquiries, and responses to reactive activity - including rebutting inaccurate or misinformed commentary from stakeholders.

  • Developing and delivering campaign plans, informed by stakeholder mapping.

  • Delivering and taking ownership of small-scale visits and events and leading on aspects of large scale and high-profile visits and events.

  • Building relationships with new and existing stakeholders to delivery advocacy for the Met's A New Met for London plan.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to engage with stakeholders in support of A New Met for London.

  • Preparing officers and staff ahead of visits and events ensuring they are confident to attend and know what is expected of them.

  • Successfully resolving case work issues received from Members of Parliament and Assembly Members.

  • Taking part in the evaluation of the delivery of strategic plans and implement learnings.

  • Being a member of the External Relations on-call rota and some occasional out of hours working if circumstances demand it and at short notice.

You will be part of working a weekend rota (approximately one weekend in five) with premium pay for weekends and time off in lieu and may be required to provide other out of hours cover with appropriate notice. You will also be part of an on-call rota.
