Full Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Early Years Teaching Assistant to support our youngest learners in their educational journey. The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Years team to assist in creating a safe, engaging, and enriching learning environment that promotes the development and well-being of every child.,
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities that meet the diverse needs of Early Years children.
- Work with small groups and individuals, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with the personal, social, and emotional development of children, promoting resilience and independence.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with children, understanding behaviour as a form of communication.
- Provide help with practical aspects of classroom management, including setting up resources, tidying, and ensuring health, safety and welfare standards.
- Collaborate with teachers and the wider support team, including pastoral and attendance staff, to ensure each child receives holistic support.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and contribute to assessments as required.
- Uphold the school's trauma-informed and relational behaviour approach, and be able to respond to children calmly, empathetically and positively with consistency.
- You must have a strong ability to reflect on your practice and the motivation to continually improve your knowledge and skills.

- Engage in and promote high-quality interactions with children.
- Have a reflective and adaptable approach, willing to continually improve and grow professionally.
- Committed to creating an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of all learners.
- A confident communicator both verbal and written.
- A proactive team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Eager to engage in CPD and stay updated on the latest educational and Early Years practices., Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children and supporting their learning.
- A relevant qualification (such as a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or equivalent).
- A good general standard of education including GCSE English and Maths to Grade C or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents.
- Understanding of trauma-informed and relational approaches, or willingness to learn and embrace our school's ethos.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.
