Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) in the Digital Training team for two Facilitating Trainer Leads to deliver theOliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autismon a one year fixed term contract or secondment., As the Facilitating Trainer Lead you will be offered training to deliver Tier 1 and 2 of the Oliver McGowan Programme. You will be responsible for delivering this training across MSE, where you will work alongside and support Experts by Experience (EBEs) who co-facilitate delivery. You will be expected to deliver the training within the MSE area to a variety of staff groups and travel to various locations to facilitate., If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.

  • Role models exemplary behaviour in terms of conduct, attitude, performance, when delivering The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively support experts with lived experience co-trainers, ensuring they are fully included and supported in the delivery of the sessions, helping them to develop skills and confidence
  • Undertakes a supervisory role for expert with lived experience co-trainers, ensuring appropriate support, leadership and coaching in line with organisational expectations
  • Delivery of Tier 1 via a virtual webinar
  • Delivery of Tier 2 face to face training via a national PowerPoint presentation
  • Appropriately challenges poor practice
  • Keeps up to date with current and emerging thinking in health and social care practice, learning disability and autism, laws of consent (UK), The Mental Capacity Act 2005, The Human Rights Act 1998, The Autism Act 2009, Do not attempt cardiovascular resuscitation case law (DNACPR), LeDeR and other associated data
  • Identifies trends and issues, escalating and acting on these as appropriate
  • Communicates complex information, verbally and in writing

    EPUT are the lead Trust for the delivery of the Oliver McGowan Training Programme, on behalf of the Mid and South Essex (MSE) Integrated Care System (ICS) and are tasked with achieving a training delivery target of approx. 35,000 staff over the next three years.
