Full Job Description
Our team based at East Midlands Gateway have an exciting opportunity for a highly focused and proactive Facilities Administrator. Supporting a high-profile and well-known customer, you will take responsibility for all aspects of administration relating to the premises and building services across the site in order to excel in operational excellence.
This role will see you working Monday to Friday; 08:00-16:30.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Site Facilities Manager, you will work in collaboration with HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality), Accounts, and Procurement teams, and support with ensuring all legal and compliance regulations are met, and where necessary, complete onsite risk assessments and accident investigations.
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the building and premises ensuring that everything is running smoothly and that all systems are functioning properly. You will oversee contractors and maintenance crews on site and ensure that safety standards are met. You will assist in all premises compliance related activities such as fire and intruder alarm testing, sprinkler system operation, emergency lighting testing, building and housekeeping inspections, periodical inspections and record keeping.
You will be the main point of contact for all administrative duties relating to the contract and will support the planning and implementation of on-site projects aiding in the delivery of essential employee training and compliance-related activities, such as housekeeping inspections and system operations testing.
Our idea candidate will have experience is similar role with a background in facilities management, although thorough training will be provided. You will have strong, demonstrable administration skills and attention to details.
It is also essential that you will be able to collaborate and work closely with people outside of your immediate team, and build strong working relationships along the way, but is also able to work alone and off their own initiative. The successful candidate will also need to be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, including outlook, excel, and word.
