Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Strategic Assets and Facilities Management Service as Facilities & Asset Support Officer.

The strategic asset and facilities management service (SAFM) is responsible for the council's property estate. This includes all aspects of property management including acquisition and sale of land and buildings, capital works, maintenance, compliance and facilities management.

As a Facilities & Asset Support Officer, you will provide a range of support functions to the wider service, including collection of asset data, data processing and reporting. You will be responsible for data entry into the asset database and GIS system as well as provide regular property reports to managers, members and the public. You will also raise work orders and invoices, and undertake audits and surveys of council properties, such as collecting utility meter readings or taking site measurements.

We are seeking an individual with a strong understanding of customer service and a positive 'can do' attitude. An awareness of building compliance and energy management issues alongside experience in a customer facing role is essential. The ability to prioritise your own workload and to maintain a positive attitude whilst working in a pressurised environment will play a crucial part in the role.
