Full Job Description

The purpose of this key role is to deliver a robust facilities support function across our sites, including our retail premises, and working with colleagues across the charity. This is a crucial role in supporting the operations and facilities management team in delivering the day-to-day operations across North Weald and Earls Colne offices as well as maintaining our retail sites across Essex & Hertfordshire., Offices and airbases

  • Responsible for day-to-day maintenance and operation of the building, including opening and closing processes.
  • Ensure building safety by identifying and reporting hazards, keeping fire exits clear of obstruction, and monitoring emergency equipment.
  • Be the point of contact for facilities issues and requests.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities at North Weald premises.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Complete daily building checks.
  • Assist with administrational tasks.
  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the facilities.
  • Attend to, rectify or report, faults/problems with the building and equipment to Workplace management.
  • Assist with fleet management.
  • Assist in carrying out regular Health & Safety inspections/audits.
  • Overseeing performance of in-house and outsourced services to agreed service levels.
  • Work with our retail team to support maintenance requirements.
  • Any other duties as required by workplace management.
