Full Job Description

  • Be responsible for managing the Facilities Management sites and buildings services contracts supporting scientific departments and studies, across Huntingdon, Eye (Suffolk) and Shardlow (Derbyshire).
  • Manage the facilities management and scientific equipment helpdesks across all 3 sites.
  • Manage up to 4 direct reports, working on the helpdesk.
  • Be the escalation and communication channel in support of the wider business and work with senior leaders to ensure the timely resolution of risk mitigation and maintenance issues.
  • Manage small projects within Facilities Management and cross-site departmental leadership, and site leads.
  • Act as the Facilities subject matter expert for rodent ingress, air flow management and asset insurance management, and other key business areas.
  • Be the contact for sponsor and regulatory audits on behalf of the Facilities Management team.

    Do you have experience within the Life Sciences industry?
  • Do you have proven supervisory experience?,
  • Experience working within the life sciences industry
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with various stakeholders at all levels
  • Good understanding of budgeting and finance
  • Contract management experience would be preferred
