Facilities and Maintenance Manager Reports to: Production Engineering Manager The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our Bolton site, this will include: Ensuring that site, equipment and contractor/maintenance members meet HSE requirements; that maintenance working practices are adhered to in accordance to company standards, plant and process equipment is maintained to achieve availability/performance KPIs, site improvements and modifications are identified, and planned in accordingly to ensure effective running of the site. Your core responsibilities include:
- Maintain Plans / Define Targets: Responsible for developing and updating plans whilst working with the Maintenance and Facilities Manager to attain key objectives, targets and budgets whilst ensuring adherence to relevant legislation
- Monitoring: Oversee operations; processes, equipment and systems taking proactive measures to address and prevent abnormal conditions and issues whilst ensuring target attainment
- Co-ordinate Resources: Organise and manage resources effectively to meet required schedules and tasks
- Teamwork / Continuous Improvement: Foster a collaborative environment which is conducive to teamwork and encourage participation in continuous improvement initiatives
- Process / Area Improvements: Identify, support and lead short to long-term improvements in processes and specific areas.
- Direction / Development: Provide guidance and support as needed to the wider Maintenance and Facilities team whilst assisting with training and development of team members, You may, from time to time, be required to carry out any other duties outside of this job description as deemed appropriate by your line manager. - HND Calibre-Engineering/Maintenance qualification and NEBS or other managerial Qualification.
- 18th ed. Wiring Regulations
- Time service in Maintenance / Facilities (3 years min.)
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with contractors and contractor systems
- Good PC skills.
