Facilities Officer Location: Wellford Gardens - 1-3 Park Hill, Wheatley, Oxford, OX33 1ND Pay rate: Up to £12.33-£13.33 Contracted Hours: 37.5 Hours ABOUT THE ROLE Our property estate is a mixture of sizes, ages and services. As we modernise our portfolio of homes; we are refurbishing some with others being brand new, contemporary care homes. With this investment into our property, we need more people with the right mix of skills and passion to ensure that our homes are kept well maintained and safe. As the Handy Person you'll take pride in the Home that you maintain, including the surrounding gardens. You'll soon get to know our residents and their families and will let them get involved in helping you to maintain their home. You'll be responsible for key tasks such as the maintenance of heating and lighting, the overall fabric of the building, regular checks
on the boiler and water systems and completing all relevant health and safety checks. In joining us, you'll also become part of our extended family. You'll work alongside other team members who are passionate about providing a safe environment, as well as warmth and kindness to all those who live and work in our homes. Wellford Gardens is our first luxury new build incorporating all-inclusive in the comfort of luxurious surroundings. It will include en-suite bedrooms, fresh air ventilation, acoustic monitoring, landscaped gardens, private dining, hair and beauty facilities, cinema, lounge and sun terrace. The home is located just off the A40 on Park Hill in Wheatley. Wellford Gardens is a three-storey home with 65 bedrooms, offering residents round-the-clock residential and dementia care. The home design includes innovative new technologies including E-care and providing person centred
care with many personalised options. You may also have a Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Facilities Services (or equivalent) but this is not essential. You'll be comfortable in an elderly care setting, with the ability to relate to our residents in a caring and sensitive manner. Confident working on your own initiative, and with a positive attitude and good communication skills, you'll prioritise your work schedules to meet the needs of the Home and its residents and be committed to providing a well-maintained environment for everyone who lives and works in the home.
