As Facilities Site Manager at HMP Erlestoke you will be at the forefront of a well-seasoned team of multi-skilled professionals, each with their own technical skills and expertise who will benefit from your background as a people manager, stakeholder influencer and substantial hard and soft services experience.
Working within the prison environment can be an incredibly challenging and incredibly rewarding endeavour, so as a Leader of robust character supported by your team of Supervisors, you will need to be conscious of and continuously evaluating your team's output and resources to ensure they have everything they need to fulfil their roles, whilst maintaining their morale, welfare, safety, and a sense of humour throughout.
The impact you can make in this role is significant, you will be intricately involved in the contract delivery to HMPPS, representing your team and advocating for our company values at every stage, with numerous senior stakeholders such as the Governor, Regional Directors and Ministry of Justice Property Management.
We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Site Manager with a combination of:
- A passion for operational management and delivery of all aspects of facilities management services whilst building and developing a culture of positive relationships through delivering excellent customer service
- Experience in building and maintaining collaborative and professional partnerships with senior Operations colleagues, up to Director level, whilst playing a full part as a member of the management team and achieving the corporate objectives
- A recognised apprenticeship in a trade, or have two years of recognised experience and specialist skills as a supervisor or manager in the facilities sector
- Experience in planning, project management, financial planning and analysis and strong commercial and negotiation skills to oversee and work to budgets whilst managing change and people effectively
- An understanding and experience of relevant health and safety requirements and knowledge of routine preventative maintenance; IOSH as a minimum
- Recognised backgrounds in building senior site management teams, delivering high quality and valued services whilst complying with all company and local policies including the local security strategy whilst working within the site
