Full Job Description

This position will manage, lead, and control the administrative, operational, and testing functions related to facilities management and ensure that these functions are carried out in a safe, legal, and ethical manner. The position will interact with the senior management team on a regular basis to ensure sites meet the requirements and are kept up to a professional standard. Key activities:

  • Management of Facilities Support teams at Milton Keynes
  • Health, Safety & Environmental, as well as legal & ethical compliance with a balanced view to ensure financial targets are achieved
  • QHSE data input
  • Maintain high standards of customer / contractor relations and services
  • Engage staff through high performance management by facilitating training needs and effectively communicating the vision of the Company
  • Reviewing service levels, provide solutions and act upon them for improvements.
  • Ensure fixed term contracts are reviewed at the relevant time and invite new quotations to maximize returns
  • To work closely with the UK QHSE Manager to implement preventative and/or corrective measures to improve safety
  • Review of Risk and Method statements and internal risk assessments, where required
  • Set a positive example for all employees through professional behavior and maintenance of a professional atmosphere in the workplace
  • Prepare and submit reports to senior management
  • Prepare branch budget and control operating costs
  • Carry out the above responsibilities, and all others which may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to the Company's Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Policy and Procedures, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy, and to exercise good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy in so doing
  • Ensuring that the Group’s testing facilities comply with the highest standards of accuracy and validity through a proactive on-going compliance, quality, and safety programme.

    We are seeking an experienced facilities professional who will have experience to manage, lead, and control the administrative, operational, and testing functions related to facilities management., IOSH or NEBOSH Health and safety trained.
  • Good IT literacy skills
  • Knowledge of commodity inspection processes and familiarity with the significance of quality data as generated by test methods
  • Extensive experience in the inspection business, preferably in a supervisory capacity
  • Communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team building skills sufficient to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse workforce
  • Highly organized
  • Time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Previous P&L responsibility
  • Good problem identification and solving skills
  • Flexible approach to travel and working hours
  • Proficient use of Microsoft applications and internet-based systems
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Ability to work unsupervised using own initiative
