Responsible for scheduling resources and prioritisation of reactive and planned tasks working with the FM Helpdesk.
- Ensure and demonstrate through routine reports and statistical analysis that the required standard of service delivery is achieved.
- To develop and maintain high motivation and morale within the workforce.
- Support the FM team and carry out regular checks and audits to ensure that all activities and repairs are satisfactorily undertaken to the required standard, including third party contractors and partners.
- Assist the FM Helpdesk with managing of keys for lockers, cabinets and cycle lockers in accordance with the required processes and procedures.
- Provide a customer service approach to support building occupants in general maintenance matters and FM services. About Us The Facilities Management Service has recently gone through a period of significant change and transformation and we have a smarter operating model to ensure the service is best placed to support the delivery of our front line services and meet the needs of our residents. The FM team provides building and operational support to various services in the council to ensure that they have a clean, safe working environment and that the space they work in allows them to carry out their roles and responsibilities in a productive way with minimum disruption. This role is responsible for the supervision of a team of Facilities Operatives delivering a safe and high quality standard of service for building users via the delivery of workplace checks, mail/reprographics and support at corporate sites as well as undertaking general maintenance work, minor reactive repairs, small project works and movement of equipment and room set ups for events.
Able to travel within and around the borough. Required to act as trained first aider. Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to for the relevant work area. Ability to work out of hours when required, particularly with respect to Council meetings and special events and on maintenance projects or works. Ability to work in a busy and pressurised environment. Participating in training to demonstrate competence and as required for the role. Knowledge of the procedures for a range of tasks and the operation of tools and equipment e.g. knowledge of moving and handling procedures. Good social skills, with an ability to communicate and inform immediate colleagues, staff and members of the public. Staff supervision and leadership skills. Good organisational skills, capable of achieving agreed deadlines and targets. Clear verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and flexible. Working knowledge of IT systems. Excellent knowledge of AV meeting room systems.
