Full Job Description
We are currently seeking an Apprentice Facilities Technician to join our team located in Winnersh, UK. The Apprentice Facilities Technician will learn and be involved in the following:
- Understanding and undertaking task based risk assessments
- Possibility to undertake IOSH Working Safely qualification
- Working with the Facilities and EHS Team to identify and resolve any EHS issues on site
- Working within the appropriate legislative requirements for EHS on site
- Diagnosing and where possible resolving equipment break downs
- Working with 3rd party contractors to include ;
- Identifying type of work required and liaising with admin team to arrange appointments
- Managing their onsite work
- Reviewing and understanding risk assessment and method statements
- Ensuring their inductions are up to date
- Creating and closing out permits to work
- Reactive maintenance to include but not limited to
- Painting and decorating
- Plumbing work with Facilities Engineer
- Electrical work with Facilities Engineer
- Carpentry work with Facilities Engineer
- Drain unblocking
- Manual handling
- Other general maintenance tasks as required
