Factory Labourer

We are currently looking for a General Factory Labourer/Operator to work in a busy company in the West of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Duties include

• Measuring and cutting materials (metals)


• Paint and prep plates, guides and parts


• Complete basic assembly tasks.


• Assembly and dismantling of racking


• Assisting Welders


• General tidy up of metal products both in yard and factory site


• General labouring tasks detailed by the Production Controller.


• Wrap metal parts in preparation for dispatch .


• Construct wood pallets as per instruction.


• Move materials in accordance with safe manual handling standards


• Keeping site tidy and safe


• Loading, lifting and tidy up of stores area


• Sorting and packing goods in a factory yard


• Working both inside and outside of the factory unit


• Helping as a floater where and when required in the site within manufacturing areas


• Overtime is available
  
  Must be happy working inside and outside in a factory yard


• Have Labouring experience in a similar environment


• Be able to lift and load


• Ideally hold a Counterbalance Forklift licence


• Be able to work unsupervised


• Be able to work on own initiative


• 39 hour week with overtime available


• Ideally have experience of working with metal parts.


• Have some Cutting / assembly experience
