Factory Logistics Manager (FTC)

In the role of Factory Logistics Manager you will be responsible for ensuring and optimising the flow of raw materials and finished goods and products to ensure that customer needs are met at the lowest possible cost to the organisation. Based at our site in Trafford Park on a 12 month fixed term contract, you will report to the Planning and Logistics Manager, UK. The role is Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm (with some flexibility with hours.) You will be responsible for a team of 5 internal and 20+ agency staff within this role so experience managing large teams is essential. If this is you, we'd love to talk.What You Will Do In this busy role you will be responsible for:

• Identifying and implementing customer focussed logistic solutions together with Sales Organisations and Regional Business Logistics
• Coordinating the optimisation of stock levels for raw materials and finished goods
• Continuous improvement and follow up of KPI figures (Service level, Stock level, Costs) Planning and following up on budget figures and manage corrective actions if necessary
• Coordinating between the different areas on the phasing in and phasing out of raw materials and finished goods
• Negotiating with service providers i.e. hauliers, external warehouses
  
  from an FMCG background with a sound understanding of stock replentishment
• background in manufacturing logistics highly desirable.
• Strong IT skills and good manipulating data (Excell, SAP, WMS)
• Motivated self start, ability to work under own initiative
• Experience in people management and processes.
