Are you a confident, experienced leader with a passion for driving operational excellence? Do you thrive in the fast-paced, high-stakes environment of chilled food production? We're looking for an experienced Night Shift Factory Manager to take charge of our Clitheroe site's newly installed night shift operations, leading a dedicated team of supervisors, team leaders, skilled operatives, and agency workers to achieve production targets and ensure our factory runs efficiently., As Night Shift Factory Manager, you will lead all night shift production activities, ensuring our team delivers on the scheduled production plan while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. You'll be at the forefront of implementing new systems and driving operational excellence across your shift. This is a hands-on role, requiring someone who can lead by example, coach and develop teams, and manage a mixed skilled team to manufacturing success. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Lead and Manage Production: Ensure the night shift delivers on production targets in line with the scheduled plan, maintaining
  • a focus on efficiency, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Team Development: Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to your team, helping supervisors and team leaders reach their
  • full potential and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve equipment performance, eliminate waste, and enhance overall productivity
  • through continuous improvement techniques.
  • Operational Excellence: Champion an operational excellence culture, ensuring key KPIs such as throughput, waste reduction, and
  • cost control are tracked and improvement plans are put in place.
  • Audit-Ready Compliance: Ensure the factory maintains "audit-ready" status by conducting regular checks on BRC/audit operational
  • procedures and ensuring full compliance across all shifts.
  • Health, Safety & Environment: Lead on-site Health & Safety efforts, ensuring all procedures are followed, risks are mitigated,
  • and safe working practices are maintained at all times.
  • Food Safety & Quality: Take full accountability for food safety and quality within your shift, ensuring compliance with HACCP,
  • allergen controls, and other regulatory standards.
  • Communication: Foster clear communication streams across all departments and ensure the night shift team is kept up-to-date on
  • business priorities, operational updates, and key performance metrics., This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, energetic leader to take ownership of the night shift operations at a leading chilled food manufacturing site.   • Experience in Chilled Food Manufacturing: A proven track record of leading large operational teams within a chilled or short
  • shelf-life production environment.
  • Operational Excellence Expertise: Experience in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence, with a focus on
  • achieving KPIs such as %OEE, labour efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Retail Customer Management: Experience managing retail customer visits and building effective relationships.
  • BRC Knowledge: Strong understanding of BRC regulations and food safety legislation, ensuring compliance is maintained across
  • all shifts.
  • Leadership Skills: A skilled leader who can motivate and develop teams, handle disciplinary procedures, and manage performance
  • to drive success.
  • Health & Safety: Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, with the ability to conduct risk assessments and ensure
  • compliance.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with ERP systems to analyse and present operational KPIs.
