Factory Operative - Onions Team

Come and join Alfred G Pearce Ltd, we are a third generation family run local manufacturing business - we are looking to recruit experienced factory operatives to enhance our existing production team.

As part of our skilled 'onions' production team, you will ensure production lines operate efficiently meeting deadlines whilst adhering to food manufacturing and health and safety standards. You will be responsible for completing daily production paperwork and various checks throughout the shift.,

• Line Inspections making sure that the onions are free from defects and foreign bodies


• Trimming and grading of onions to correct specifications to ensure product meets our customer specifications and standards


• Packing and Stacking - good attention to detail to ensure that the right product is matched with the right packaging and with the correct traceability information


• Line Feeding - ensuring that raw materials are processed using the most suitable lines for optimum output and efficiency


The start time for the shift is 6.30am. Working 5 days a week with some Saturday work too.

We are looking for people that are willing and capable to work in a food manufacturing environment. That are able to maintain a tidy work area whilst managing their day to day manual tasks, happy to use their initiative, and who are respectful and willing to work as part of a motivated and enthusiastic team.

Ideally you will have previous food production experience. You will be reliable, punctual and enjoy working in a busy environment and take pride in the work that you do.

You will need to be able to work to tight deadlines, have a good level of English, be able to communicate clearly with your colleagues and keep your work area tidy.,
