Family Engagement Worker

Layton Primary School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Family Engagement Worker to join its team of dedicated and hardworking staff. You must be committed to ensuring family intervention and good quality mentoring impacts on social, emotional and academic achievement. You will be an initial point of contact for families, referring on where appropriate, and co-ordinating action with relevant agencies where required.

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate that they possess the skills to engage with the most vulnerable members of our school community, working sensitively yet honestly, in partnership with parents at all times. This will require a child-centred approach, proven track record of high quality, mentoring and significant experience of building relationships with external agencies, as well as a good sense of humour!

The role is permanent, term time only plus ten days, 37 hours per week. Please be aware that the salary advertised is pro-rata due to being less than full year.
