Full Job Description
Abrams Healthcare LLP is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Hub Coach HSF to join our team, working on behalf of Staffordshire County Council. This vital role involves providing targeted support to children, young people, and families to improve outcomes, reduce reliance on specialist services, and enable positive community engagement.
As a Family Hub Coach, you will be instrumental in delivering direct interventions, promoting healthy lifestyles, supporting parenting practices, and coordinating multi-agency efforts to strengthen families.
Key Responsibilities
Work directly with children, young people, and families to secure access to education and improve outcomes.
Deliver emergency and targeted interventions to address needs identified in child plans.
Build and maintain effective relationships with local service providers and agencies.
Promote healthy lifestyles, family relationships, and safe parenting through direct engagement.
Provide evidence-based group work to parents and children, including targeted courses.
Signpost families to appropriate services and ensure their active participation in improving life outcomes.
Contribute to safeguarding practices and demonstrate a strong commitment to the welfare of vulnerable groups.
Respond flexibly to crisis situations and manage conflicting priorities.
Collaborate with multi-agency teams to assess needs, deliver services, and develop family support plans.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification/experience working with children and families.
PTLLS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Strong experience working with children, families, and carers in a relevant setting.
Solid understanding of child development, trauma, and effective intervention strategies.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, SEND, and the education system.
Ability to effectively engage and challenge families and agencies to achieve improved outcomes.
Strong IT skills for record-keeping and reporting.
Commitment to multi-agency collaboration and reflective practice.
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience delivering evidence-based parenting programs and group work.
Knowledge of mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse, and other vulnerabilities.
