Full Job Description

We are looking for:

A dedicated and energetic Family Liaison Worker who is passionate about reducing barriers to learning for all pupils. They will work with the Head Teacher and SLT in supporting all of our children to access the happy, secure and stimulating environment at Carrington Junior School.

    Previous experience of working in a primary school setting

  • A desire to maintain and enhance the existing strengths of the school, supporting the school in its rapid and sustained improvement which is demonstrated through improved outcomes for children across the curriculum

  • An ability to be forward-thinking and flexible to adapt to the changing educational landscape


  • You will also have good communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work flexibly and cooperatively in a team context. Appropriate and accurate use of English in written and oral communications and good organisational skills are also required.

    We are a two-form entry Junior School in the village of Flackwell Heath on a linking site to the Infant School. Our school benefits from friendly, happy, motivated children and staff team, and is well supported by parents/carers and governors.

    Our school has an 8th place ARP for pupils with ASD. Our school has an active extra-curricular offer, with sports, music, learning and drama clubs taking place most days before and after school.

    Carrington Junior School is a dynamic place to work with lots going on and a supportive staff team. Our recent Ofsted (May 2022) stated, "Staff are upbeat and enjoy working at the school".
