Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic team of specialist Family Recovery Workers who are very passionate, caring and supportive. The role covers Eastleigh and Winchester. In total there are 7 Family workers split across Hampshire, who are line managed by the Team Leader.
The role is open to anyone with experience in substance misuse and we also welcome applications from newly qualified social workers.
The main role involves working closely with Children's Services supporting Families who form part of a priority cohort of clients needing specialist support around substance use. Knowledge and experience of safeguarding is important for this role as the post holder will be responsible for working with families and completing assessments and interventions sometimes in the client's home.
There is regular supervision and excellent training available., Family Recovery Worker role over 37.5 hours per week covering Eastleigh and Winchester
+ Working in partnership with Children's Services, attending their meetings and having a presence in social services
+ Completing consultations with children's services where clients have been identified as needing support
+ Delivering substance use awareness training to partnership agencies
+ Provision of drug and alcohol treatment to Service Users within the locality.
+ Providing Specialist evidence based Family Interventions to Service Users, families and their careers.
+ Supporting a service user and their family through their treatment journey from beginning to end
+ Embracing the concept of recovery and demonstrating this in your clinical work
+ Running a range of family based group work programmes and support the Inclusion Recovery Programme
+ Ensuring that your work is evidence based, up to date and in accordance with current policy and legislation.
+ Keeping up to date and accurate records and documentation on both Children's services records and Inclusion records where applicable.
+ Completing reports for Children's services and Courts where requested.
+ Attending Child Protection meetings and other safeguarding meetings as required, + The role includes caseload management for cases identified by Children's Services and Inclusion clients
+ Working in partnership with children's services and other key stakeholders
+ Supporting families through substance use , providing specialist interventions such as motivational interviewing, CBT, solution focused brief treatment, Brief Interventions, Structured work, Risk Management, Safeguarding and Care Planning.
+ The successful candidate will also be supporting the Inclusion Recovery sites in Winchester and Eastleigh, offering support in home visits and providing advice and information around safeguarding and attending the MDT regularly to provide updates
