Family Support Worker - 37 hours per week, 43 weeks per year (Term time plus 4 weeks)

Foundations for Children's Nursery Schools Federtaion are pleased to share an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious management team for Croyland Nursery School and Highfield Nursery School.

The Family Support Worker will be key in ensuring our children and their families are able to access the support and services they may need to ensure their personal development, wellbeing and safety.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual, with experience in working holistically with young people, families and children to make positive changes. The successful applicant will be professional, adaptable and dedicated to delivering high quality support to some of our most vulnerable children and their families. This role encompasses group and one to one work with families and a proactive and non-judgmental approach is essential. The individual will also be required to have the skills and experience of supporting families with children with special educational needs. The will work closely with the SENco and be required to make referrals and deliver home learning support.

As Designated Safeguarding they will lead on the co-ordination of some of the safeguarding policies and practices for the Federation along with reporting to Governors. The role will also entail being the mental health first aider for the two schools.

We are looking for applicants with strong communication skills who will be able to build and maintain respectful and effective relationships with staff, children and their families, often in challenging circumstances. You will be motivated and resilient with excellent organisational, interpersonal and time management skills. Initiative and assertiveness will also be key to your success.

Applicants with enthusiasm, a real passion for the role and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. You will need to enjoy working autonomously, but still be able to work as part of a team.

Work Pattern 37 hours per week, shift pattern, 43 weeks per year contract
