Full Job Description

1. Lead on couple and family therapy provision within the perinatal mental health team and support the development of systemic practice throughout the service
2. Direct clinical work with clients (assessments and interventions)
3. Provide systemic consultation and training where required

This is an opportunity for a 0.6 WTE (3 days a week), highly specialist Family and Systemic Psychotherapist or highly specialist Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist to join us in the City and Hackney Perinatal Mental Health Team.The Perinatal Mental Health Team (PMHT) is a multidisciplinary team consisting of nursing, psychology, psychiatry, midwifery, occupational therapy, nursery nurses and admin staff. The team uses an MDT approach to provide holistic, psychologically informed care to women and birthing people in the community who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties in the perinatal period (during pregnancy and up to two years postnatally).

The post holder will lead on developing the systemic provision in the team, which includes offering specialist assessments and couple/ family interventions. The post holder will support the team to integrate systemic thinking into their practice and will provide systemic consultation where required.The post holder will have a special interest in supporting women and birthing people in the perinatal period and experience of working as a qualified family therapist or psychologist with complex mental health difficulties.
