CNTW's Centre for Specialist Psychological Therapies Services (SPT) is known regionally and nationally for its expertise in complex psychological assessment, formulation and treatment, education and training, innovation, and research across a wide range of specialist modalities. These modalities include complex CBT, Psycho-dynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy and EMDR.
The role will be based in the Family Therapy Service and requires the individual to work collaboratively with colleagues to provide place based systemic family therapy and family interventions for families, couples, and networks. This includes working with a range of adult mental health concerns within our Community Treatment Teams, Early Inventions in Psychosis, and other Specialist Services.
The service works in partnership with psychological therapies and operational colleagues within community services to improve access and the quality of services offered to families and couples. The post-holder will contribute to the transformation of community services alongside the clinical lead and senior family therapists in the service., The role involves the provision of direct clinical work, alongside opportunities to develop as a systemic supervisor, and trainer within our AFT accredited Foundation and Intermediate Level Systemic Training.
The Family Therapy Service at the CNTW Centre for Specialist Psychological Therapies is committed to provide high quality continuing professional development and will be ideal for a candidate seeking to develop their career in family therapy., · Provide safe and effective systemic family therapy within the psychosis and non-psychosis treatment pathways with a defined caseload of families within place-based community services.
· Provide safe and effective Family Interventions for Psychosis and Bipolar with a defined caseload of families in place-based community services.
· Provide family therapy and interventions in collaboration with others including contributing to family therapy team working.
· Offer clinical supervision to staff trained in family interventions and to those at systemic practitioner level.
· Contribute to our accredited Foundation and Intermediate Level Systemic Training programmes as both a course tutor and supervisor.
· Be an active member of the family therapy team clinical meetings and team CPD activities.
· Contribute to service developmental work alongside senior colleagues within the service.
· Contribute to creating a positive host culture for family therapy and family interventions through clinical leadership.
· Work across multiple contexts (Community Treatment Teams, EIP, Specialist Services) and manage effective multi-disciplinary relationships across teams
