Join our Rail team as a FAMS (Fleet Asset Management System) and Stores Administrator and you can build something to be proud of. This role is based predominantly from our site in Tonbridge in Kent.

This role is initially temporary until August 2025 to cover maternity leave.

What you'll be doing

The successful candidate will:

  • Ensure compliance with the Companys Policies and Procedures;

  • Liaise with the Depot Supervisor to forecast MPV and Module scheduled maintenance and tracking the progress via a spread-sheet;

  • Create unscheduled maintenance Work-Orders within FAMS and subsequent closure on receipt of the completed and certified maintenance documentation (including electronic attachment);

  • Maintain a register of unscheduled faults to capture a brief synopsis and repair hours consumed;

  • Be responsible for the ordering of MPV spares to satisfy unscheduled arisings and pre-provisioning for planned maintenance activities;

  • Be responsible for the procurement of Depot resources to maintain the operational tempo;

  • Provide FAMS Support to the sister Depot at Horsham;

  • Ensure FAMS accurately reflects the stock levels held on-site and maintain various spread-sheets used to capture maintenance data to enable maintenance forecasting., Day in, day out, our teams deliver amazing projects in challenging conditions; developing, managing and maintaining the vital infrastructure and public spaces that modern economies, societies and communities rely on.

    We are looking for someone with the following skills and qualities:

  • Competent in the use of the following software

  • applications:- MS Excel MS Word;
  • Competent in the use of Fleet / Asset management systems;

  • Good technical knowledge to enable component identification & query technical

  • issues;
  • Sound stores and administration knowledge;

  • Good resource management skills;

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels;

  • Commercial/financial awareness.
