More details and how to apply can be found below. Reporting into the Property, Tech and Central Functions Finance Director, you will act as Property Finance Director. This is a hybrid working role with a requirement to attend our Farringdon office in London, with flexibility required, in line with business needs. About the role

  • Membership of leadership teams within Property and Finance:
  • Directing and influencing strategic direction of functions
  • Providing financial oversight and guidance in relation to finance and operational matters
  • Instill a performance management culture including driving the performance debate in review meetings and ensuring that risks, issues and opportunities are identified early, and interventions/ action plans agreed
  • Ensure that cost efficiency and a cost-conscious culture is a key focus
  • Setting of annual budgets ensuring targets are stretching and in line with overall requirements of the Group
  • Monitoring and reporting on business performance. Using financial and business insight to influence, challenge and partner the business to:
  • Agree activities that will deliver the required in year performance standard
  • Influence delivery of the agreed activities to the required time, cost and standard, or develop and deploy corrective actions with leadership teams
  • Evaluate whether agreed activities have delivered the expected outputs and provide transparency on performance
  • Drive continuous cost control to ensure accountability, strategic spend, value for money especially around external suppliers.
  • Work with Group Property and Leadership team to determine, drive and implement the future vision /strategy for Property within an appropriate and efficient cost envelope
  • Membership of all relevant investment boards, providing critical review of investment decisions and holding projects to account on performance against
  • Working with key stakeholders to ensure there are robust control procedures in place
  • Seek continuous process improvements and promote best practice
  • Line management to own team, providing direction and guidance and developing individuals and also to wider finance community

  • An excellent communicator who can guide colleagues and staff with no financial background in their understanding of financial management
  • Proven track record of challenging and influencing across a wide range of key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively across highly complex organisation structures and frameworks and to provide realistic solutions
  • Ability to deliver results through leading, engaging and coaching people
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities across a wide span and spectrum of accountabilities
  • Ability to create effective cross functional relationships, work collaboratively and supportively with colleagues
  • Experience in supporting development of medium term and short-term business plans
  • Significant experience of budget and target management
  • Experience of working within a large a complex matrix organisation and manage multiple, and sometimes conflicting, priorities
  • Ability to work at pace, to proactively identify and drive creative solutions
  • Being a critical friend and not afraid of having difficult conversations when needed
  • Degree educated and professional financial qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
