Are you an inspirational specialist music teacher, looking to join a highly committed and enthusiastic staff team to oversee music provision across our Federation of two schools in London?

  • Qualified Teacher Status (Desirable)
  • Degree level qualification in Music (Essential)
  • EXPERIENCE (Essential)
  • Outstanding educator with teaching experience in a school, music education hub, charity or equivalent education setting
  • PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND DUTIES (Essential)
  • An expert in music education at primary level
  • Up to date knowledge of the current music curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Experience of developing research-led singing and instrumental curriculum frameworks that offer pupils joined up learning pathways
  • Evidence of raising attainment and participation of all pupils within a challenging environment
  • Ability to reflect on own practice and the practice of others in pursuit of improved pupil outcomes
  • Experience of drawing on a broad range of musical genres to create a rich a varied pupil experience
  • Desire to recognise and equally value all types of music and musician
  • Experience of using evaluation to inform future planning
  • Experience of planning whole school and family 'showcase' events during and//or after school
  • Ability to develop and maintain efficient record keeping/management information systems, providing accurate records and reports as required
  • An ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, pupils, parents, governors and other agencies
  • Evidence of experience of and a commitment to the involvement of parents in the learning process
  • A commitment to professional development
  • The ability to liaise with and gain the confidence of all staff, pupils, parents and governors
  • Shows a personal commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and rights of young people. Committed to equality and diversity, We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and highly motivated music specialist to work across our federation of schools at Clapham Manor Primary and Sudbourne Primary School, located approximately one mile apart. The successful candidate will have a passion for music and be able to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils to achieve the highest levels of performance, they will also oversee a team of skilled peripatetic music tutors. You will join a talented and hardworking staff team, supported by a leadership team and Governors who are committed to fostering a culture of team work and collaboration.
