Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Engineer to join our Forming Department at our Knottingley Business Unit. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our forehearth and feeder equipment.,

  • Optimize forehearth and feeder equipment performance during job changeovers by making necessary adjustments and modifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning, inspection, and component replacement.
  • Accurately record equipment settings and parameters in the APS JOJO database for future reference.
  • Prepare refractory equipment to maintain a readily available inventory of spare parts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain open communication and optimize processes.
  • Proactively monitor equipment operation, respond to alarms, and implement corrective actions.
  • Uphold strict adherence to health and safety guidelines to create a secure working environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing lean methodologies such as SMED and TPM.

    A strong Engineering aptitude with a proven track record in maintenance and repair. Must hold an NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the glass industry.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • A commitment to safety and quality

  • Minimum salary £31,724-£39,104 highest salary maximum
