Full Job Description

I am a 44-year-old lady and my leading condition is EDS, this causes weakness sporadically and can affect any part of my body. I sometimes faint and have minor fits. The level of support I require may change from day to day. Initially, the main part of the role will be to provide post op care to me on my road to recovery. My condition of EDS also means that I do dislocate parts of body quite easily, I would require someone comfortable to support me to relocate my joints. The successful applicant would be happy to support me with my personal care needs including assisting with washing, getting dressed, meal preparation and wound care. In addition to this, I would like some support to get out and about in the local community. The successful applicant would be comfortable with dogs as I have an assistance dog. The role would also mean assisting with any household chores I cannot sort myself. I am relatively independent and do strive to be self-sufficient, but my serious medical conditions mean at times I need full bed rest. I may need help on these days with ensuring food, water and meds are available to me. On occasion, I may also need support to ensure my dog is fed. Duties include: Medication prompting/administering Personal grooming Other relevant duties as required Housekeeping Cooking Companionship Candidate qualities
