Full Job Description
Job Purpose: To support a 68-year-old lady with care needs within the home, Details: I am 68-year-old lady with a spinal injury. I have a great sense of humour. I have a close family who visit me regularly and a good network of friends. I enjoy going out shopping and out for meals. I am looking to extend my existing team of carers to maintain my independence, monitor and record any changes in my health. I have a dog, and regular visitors who also have dogs. The household is non-smoking, and the successful candidate will also need to be a non-smoker. The successful candidate will report to me as the employer and manager. I expect my employees to work to a high standard and have a professional manor. You must be happy to act upon my requests and follow directions, whilst respecting my privacy and maintaining a professional approach. You will be careful to treat our working relationship as confidential, and remain mindful of my right to dignity, respect and independence. The times of work are 8am - 1pm. General duties and responsibilities will include: · Personal care · Washing and skincare · Suprapubic catheter care · Manual handling · Administering medication · Blood glucose monitoring · Keeping accurate records of care provided · Assisting with mealtimes, both feeding and food preparation · General housework as required

- Schedule 9, P1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies · At least 3 months experience in a caring role · Ability to keep accurate records · Ability to work as part of a team · Observant · Professional attitude · Good sense of humour · Non-smoker Desirable · Good standard of education/ GCSEs · Understanding of C.O.S.H.H, understanding of health and safety in the workplace · First aid certificate
· The rates of pay for this position are £12.67 per hour on weekdays and £13.45 per hour on weekends. · You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role. · The times of work are 8am - 1pm on Saturday and Sunday fortnightly. · The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks The post is subject to the following · Satisfactory DBS check and references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer · Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
