Full Job Description

Do you want to become part of an amazing organisation? As a Support Worker, you will help to promote the health and wellbeing of those you support. This will include making sure women access the health services they need; have as healthy a diet as possible; and live in a home environment that supports their wellbeing. This is an interesting and rewarding role, where no two days are ever the same. This service needs people committed to delivering high quality, person-centred support. We are looking for women who are passionate about empowering women. A good communicator, who can build valued relationships with others, you will be able to use your judgement and common sense to get the best possible results for each person you support. Your focus will always be on the person you are supporting, promoting their dignity, and ensuring the highest standards of confidentiality are maintained., The nature of the role includes support with budgeting, managing their mental health, to develop life skills and to support service users into community opportunities, supporting people to achieve their goals.

At Imagine Independence, we are dedicated to empowering individuals with mental illness, neurodiversity, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviours. Our mission is to combat stigma and help people lead meaningful lives by celebrating their individuality and embracing the power of small steps.

Working as part of a team supporting women who have been discharged from secure services and have severe and enduring mental health diagnoses. The service delivered is a person-centred approach and therapeutically driven environment that puts women at the heart of their own recovery. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as the successful candidate will be provided with a standard induction course along with a comprehensive package of specialist training. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a positive mind set to recovery and inclusion who is looking for an opportunity to be part of a team committed to outstanding person-centred delivery. In return Imagine offer development opportunities across the UK, exposure to well-coordinated multi-disciplinary team working (including our collaborative team approach with CPNs and Psychiatrists) and the opportunity to work in a well-resourced, well respected supportive team environment. Imagine is a values-based recruiter and so it will be seeking to ensure that the successful candidate will align with the following:

  • Meaningful Living: Using empathy to bring together diverse people and resources, to put the everyday within reach of everyone.
  • Nurturing Individuality: Creating conditions that support people to be true to themselves and express their truth.
  • Focused Dedication: Showing up each day hungry to do our best to learn and develop. We never give up on people.
  • Challenging Ideas: Keeping our efforts real and centred on what matters most, we do not settle for the ordinary when better is possible.
  • Generous Sharing: Giving of ourselves, our experiences and knowledge, to promote and provide a great service.
