Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Relief Support Worker to join one of our supported living services based in Ashford, Kent. You will have the opportunity of supporting young people with a mix of needs and disabilities as part of a fantastically passionate and dedicated team that always aims to provide active and positive behaviour support. Here at United Response we are driven by our mission to provide person-centred support and as such you will have a varied role which will involve having a positive and creative approach to support work, you will be responsible for:
- Providing active support
- Promoting independence
- Helping around the house
- Teaching life skills
- Personal care
- Helping to access the community
- Creating a fun and friendly environment
- As part of your role, you will be using a digital app called Nourish, where all care and support plans of the people we support are held. Experience of using a digital or mobile app would be desirable however full training will be given., Please note this role will include sleep-ins so flexibility is desirable. - £11.75 per hour (plus an additional 12.03% rolled up holiday pay)

The young adults we support enjoy activities and are keen to learn new skills and improve existing ones. This position will involve participating and taking the people we support out for activities e.g. playing rounders and swimming., To be a successful Support Worker you must firstly be passionate about supporting people with disabilities and share in our values of being united, responsive, creative, honest and strong. You should be a patient and resilient individual who is willing to invest time in getting to know the people we support and understand what care best supports their needs. Previous experience supporting people with autism is required.
