Full Job Description

I am looking for a PA to support my daughter with attending her college course and taking part in social/leisure activities. She is in her 30s, is very musical, loves singing and playing the piano and guitar. She has a genetic disorder which causes epilepsy. She needs to be given info in clear, basic language and be given time to digest info and respond. She also gets anxious when meeting new people and needs to be kept safe and supervised at all times. You would be required to support her to travel and attend college in Lewes on Monday and Tuesdays and with leisure activities e.g. shopping, going to a café on Thursdays. Driver with own car is essential. You would be reimbursed for reasonable mileage costs. Experience/training in dealing with epileptic seizures is also essential. Support needed with personal care e.g. changing clothes would be needed in the event of a seizure so a female PA is required. You should be friendly, patient, understanding and reliable. This would be a great opportunity to support our daughter with developing independence, confidence and social skills. You would report to me, her mother, as your employer. Duties include: Accompanying and assisting our daughter to attend college Driving her to/from college in your car Support with going shopping or to a café after college once a week Keeping her safe and supervised at all times Supporting her to develop independence, confidence and social skills. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

    Hours per week: Monday 9.15-9.30 am start for approx. 3 hours, Tuesday 11.45-12.pm start for approx. 3 hours, Thursday 4 hours, flexible times. Hourly pay rate: £15
