Full Job Description

To work as part of the multidisciplinary team caring for patients undergoing specialist examinations, procedures and therapies.

To assist in the co-ordination of the screening, diagnosis and therapies

Provide specialist sonography service working with the quaternary fetal medicine service, including fetal cardiology

This post requires a high level of experience and expertise in fetal/ and fetal cardiology.

The post requires concentration due to unpredictable work patterns and the specialist skills essential to manage frequent exposure to highly emotional circumstances.

The role is based in Fetal Medicine and there may be the need to move between departments, depending on service need., To provide ultrasound scans and report to the MDT and external agencies.

To maintain effective communication and working relationships within the team and between the team and other Health Care Professionals.

To be responsible for the maintenance and development of one's own clinical skills and maintain Revalidation requirements, including attendance at trust mandatory training.

Participate in the development and implementation of evidence based clinical and management guidelines.

To lead in the teaching, preceptorship and mentorship of all students and new members of staff who join the team

To attend regular staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings as required. To lead in the teaching, preceptorship and mentorship of all students and new members of staff who join the team

To actively foster strong links within all areas of the Trust, particularly cross working within the maternity service
