Fetal Monitoring and Wellbeing (CTG) Lead

We are proud of our Maternity Service at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB). As a service we strive to improve the experience for our expectant's mothers and their families through listening to our service users and support from our Trust board through significant financial investment in service improvement and recruitment. The Maternity Services works in partnership with the Local Maternity and Neonatal Systems (LMNS) to drive the national maternity agenda forward to improve the safety and quality of our services. Due to the additional investment received within the maternity services we are increasing our practice develpment team to include a Fetal Monitoring and Wellbeing (CTG) Lead., The post holder will lead on continuous improvements to the use and application of fetal monitoring across UHDB. They will lead on the education/training of fetal monitoring, developing and embedding new strategies and sharing knowledge informally and formally. They will be skilled and confident to act as a professional resource for colleagues, stakeholders and service users. They will develop and maintain robust policies and guidance which explores practice changes and emerging evidence. The post holder will be required to work Trust wide so a driving licence is essential.
