Full Job Description

At Dignity Funerals, our funeral director branches provide welcoming and respectful spaces where families can honour their loved ones. As a Field Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining the facilities and grounds of our branches, ensuring they remain pristine, professional, and comforting for every visitor.,

  • Work closely with colleagues in branch to address maintenance requests promptly.
  • Refresh and maintain the interiors and exteriors of our funeral director branches to the highest standard.
  • Carry out minor property repairs, this will include but will not be limited to: Plumbing, electrical fixes and carpentry.
  • Repair and refurbish furniture, fixtures, and fittings as needed
  • Undertake general grounds duties, this will include but will not be limited to; hedge trimming, lawn mowing, jet washing.
  • Conduct and document regular property inspections.
  • Regional travel between branch locations to provide maintenance support as required.

  • This role will suit someone who:
  • Has previous experience in a maintenance, repair, or facilities role.
  • Holds a Full UK Manual Driving License.
  • Is physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on, active role.
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
