Full Job Description

A fantastic opportunity for a Field Operations Specialist to manage our Field Team Leader & Campaign Analyst team. As part of the
contract partnership between Thames & Hydrosave, you'll be expected to investigate and manage points of interest identified
through various new technologies, reporting any that may result in updates to TW systems, such as new properties, building sites,
or identified customers that could result in UFW. Additionally, ensure all Campaigns are carried out thoroughly and efficiently,
with a high level of feedback captured.

What's the role:

  • To carry out field investigations into complex operational problems, identifying solutions to improve operational efficiency

  • and customer satisfaction.
  • Complete and or follow up Leakage Campaigns across the TW network area, using various Leakage techniques, including open

  • sounding, correlating, pipe tracing, deployment of acoustic loggers, as well as following up logging points of interest to
    identify Main side Leakage.
  • Locate, Prove & Log Customer side Leaks, identify and resolve UFW and illegal connections.

  • To take the lead on Health and Safety, wearing the correct PPE and identify and report Safety Observations or any hazards that

  • pose a risk of injury
  • Understand how to shut mains on the network for step testing or quantifications to carry out all prep work to maximise night

  • teams' performance
  • Provide technical support to determine solutions to problems and ensure a robust, stable and efficient network

  • Health & Safety, including On Site Risk Assessments, Stay safe process.


  • What you'll need:

  • Water network knowledge, proven track record in open sounding/leakage techniques, and ability to carry out basic validation

  • activities and quantifications once trained.
  • Train and coach less experienced staff in all forms of leak detection, learn and implement new leakage methods, and work

  • towards achieving/exceeding targets.
  • Health and safety awareness, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and flexibility for shift patterns when

  • required
  • Client management and customer satisfaction, excellent communication skills, and excellent customer service.

  • Accountable for all actions and responsible for achieving/exceeding set targets.
