The Purpose

Roche Diagnostics presents an exceptional opportunity for you to enhance your skill set while providing direct support to our esteemed customers, as an integral member of the South Customer Centric Field Support Team in the UK. This role offers the possibility of field-based assignments or focusing on a designated customer base.

The Opportunity

Based in the South Field Support Region of the UK, you will be at the forefront, delivering electro-mechanical hardware support encompassing routine proactive/reactive tasks, technical training, customer upskilling, and ensuring meticulous administration and regulatory documentation upkeep. You will demonstrate a keen interest in advancing your comprehension of information solutions and the application of Roche biochemistry and immunoassay products. Key responsibilities include fault troubleshooting and resolution, preventive maintenance, and generating reports to enhance efficiency across each site's Roche product array.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver electro-mechanical hardware support, including proactive/reactive tasks.

  • Conduct technical training and customer upskilling.

  • Maintain administration and regulatory documentation.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve faults.

  • Perform preventive maintenance.

  • Generate reports to enhance site efficiency.

  • Ensure the seamless delivery and uptime of service offerings across three sites.

  • Collaborate with peers and key stakeholders to align sales and service objectives.

  • Attend customer review meetings to outline key accomplishments and objectives.


  • Candidate Profile:

    We are looking for a candidate who embodies our core values and demonstrates a strong commitment to our mission. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Significant experience in electro-mechanical engineering.

  • A preferred degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, with equivalent qualifications also considered.

  • Demonstrable experience at the HNC/HND level.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the IVD industry.

  • Proven track record of implementing top-tier support.

  • Ability to provide effective support for pathology laboratory solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills for navigating technical, scientific, and numerical information.

  • Resilience and tenacity, thriving under pressure within a close-knit team environment.

  • Self-motivation with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and ownership of tasks.

  • Willingness to travel within London or the Southwest as needed.

  • Residence in West Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, or Berkshire.
