Full Job Description

  • Examines various financial statements for completeness, internal accuracy, and conformance with uniform accounting classifications
  • Examines assigned accounting documents to verify accuracy of computations and uniform application of policies, procedures, and acceptable accounting standards
  • Reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records
  • Assists in the preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports
  • Provides documentation to support various internal and external audit requirements
  • Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures

    You will have the opportunity to work across multiple departments within the organisation, gaining valuable hands-on experience with our experts in both the design and manufacture of our products all whilst earning a Degree level qualification; you will also be required to complete the end point assessment as part of the course., GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 4) essential
  • Other Accountancy, Finance, Business (Grade degree) essential
  • Upon successful completion of the course and end point assessment, you can expect to continue in Finance/Accounting, Accountancy or Taxation Professional Level 7 Apprenticeship Standard

The role will support three business units and provide Finance/Accountancy support to an established Finance function. With three Curtiss-Wright Divisions having operations in Bournemouth, there are plenty of opportunities to progress your career on successful completion of your apprenticeship. We design, manufacture and market a wide range of Curtiss-Wright engineering products and solutions from the facility, which employs around 500 people.

The facility was opened in 2017 and features modern open-plan working arrangements. Within the facility, the Wright Lounge is a flexible eating and working space. This position may require exposure to information which is subject to export control regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must meet eligibility requirements of the ITAR and of the UK/EU through completion of a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) application.
