Full Job Description
- Financial Planning & Analysis - this team plays a key role in partnering with the business to drive financial performance and decision-making. You'll gain experience from across various areas, from sales and claims performance to strategic planning and reporting to senior leadership.
- Financial Reporting & Controls - this team oversees financial and regulatory reporting, ensuring strong financial controls and best practices across the Group. You'll have the opportunity to develop technical expertise in statutory and regulatory reporting while also building relationships with stakeholders across the business as well as external auditors.
- Property Finance - this team manages transactions, budgeting, and financial reporting for all NFU Mutual properties. You'll gain experience in areas like statutory reporting and budgeting and will work closely with the wider Property Team. Plus, we'll support you every step of the way as you work towards becoming a chartered accountant with CIMA or ACCA qualifications.What you can expect From day one, you'll join a supportive, dynamic team where your ideas are valued and collaboration fuels success. Your future Throughout the scheme, you'll strengthen your core finance skills, earn qualifications, and develop essential competencies to set you up for a successful career. You'll be fully supported along the way, with a dedicated buddy and mentor, plus a strong network of current and former graduates. As you near the end of the scheme, a careers coach will be there to guide you in planning your next steps. It's not all about work either. We encourage our graduates to get involved in extracurricular activities, from volunteering and organising charity or social events to representing NFU Mutual at industry events, all in line with our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Good communication and relationship building skills
- Digital literacy - particularly with using Excel
- Time management and organisational skills
- Problem-solving skills If you're able to bring these, we can teach you the rest! Work experience If you've gained industry experience or completed a placement year-especially in Financial Services or accountancy-that's a big plus! But don't worry if you haven't, it's not a must-have for the scheme. What we're really looking for is some previous work experience where you've had the chance to interact with people and develop your communication skills.

To join our Finance Graduate Scheme, you'll need to have achieved, or be on track for, at least a 2.1 degree. While your degree doesn't need to be in a specific subject, we do prefer candidates with a strong numerical or analytical focus in their studies.
