Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Income and Assessment Team. We pay an attractive salary of £24,294 - £25,979 and offer access to training and development opportunities. The successful applicant will be responsible for setting up accounts and issuing invoices for service users accessing residential and non-residential care.

A key part of the role involves monitoring individual accounts and liaising with debtors and senior officers to maximise collection rates whilst minimising financial difficulties for service users. The post holder will not be expected to undertake property seizure for outstanding debt, but must possess excellent communication skills and a flexible, cooperative attitude as a large part of the role involves negotiations and discussions with debtors. Candidates need strong IT skills, organisational abilities, logical thinking, be proactive, and an eye for detail, with the capability to prioritize tasks according to changing demands. For the role, we ask that you have: 5 GSCEs Grades A

  • -C (including Mathematics and English) or Relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example Finance, Administration or Management.
  • An awareness of Social Services charging policies.
