Full Job Description

Warwick District Council is seeking to appoint a Finance Administration Officer within its small but very busy Purchasing and Payments team. The successful applicant will assist the Senior Finance Administration Officer in the successful operation of the Council's Purchasing and Payments function which processes £120m in creditor payments per year and provides oversite and support for £7m in sundry debt. It also provides support for the payment of £20m in Housing Benefits, Council Tax and NNDR payments. The role primarily involves:

  • Providing guidance and support to the Council and external stakeholders for creditors and sundry debt;
  • Utilisation of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Debtor and Billing, and Purchasing, of the Council's Financial Management System;
  • Admin support for the collection of the BID levy;
  • Procurement administration tasks involving the use of Excel.
  • The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, office and hybrid working are also available.
