Full Job Description

The Position: As Finance Administrator you will, as part of the team, ensure the smooth running of the company's Sales Ledger as well as assisting with other ledgers that fall under our remit. You will report directly to the Finance Manager and your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing cash sheets from depots and other sources, verify and post onto Sales Ledger.
  • Reviewing depot delivery copy invoices, identifying any customer credits required, checking and processing accordingly
  • Reviewing, checking, and processing customer goods returned forms and customer credit requests from the Sales Centres for assigned depots
  • Producing customer statements for assigned depots in accordance with credit terms, reviewing and posting to customer
  • Liaising with credit control on customer queries, allocations and clearing small balances
  • Processing new Sales Ledger customer account requests, amendments and closures for assigned depots.
  • Assisting with registering and matching Purchase Ledger Invoices as and when required
  • Assisting with the weekly payment run as and when required
  • Assisting with input of stock counts onto system
  • Providing cover when required for other members of the Finance team
  • Any other duties within the remit of the Finance Team and general duties required within the grading of the position

    Organised individual who pays attention to detail
  • Personable with excellent communication skills across multiple levels of the business
  • Numerate (No finance experience strictly necessary but previous experience of working with numbers in any format would be beneficial).
  • Good IT knowledge, especially in MS Excel and be able to pick up new systems easily
