Description: About the roleCoventry Building Society recently announced it has reached agreement to purchase The Co-operative Bank plc, subject to gaining regulatory approvals.As a result of this, we have an exciting 12 month fixed term contract opportunity for a Finance Analyst to support our investment portfolio. The role will involve delivering month end activities, supporting the financial planning process including the yearly budget setting, managing the day-to-day operations, reporting, and tracking and monitoring forecast. The Finance Analyst will also provide financial modelling for both routine and ad-hoc activities.Supporting the Society's investment spend, the person in post will be assisting project accounting deliverables and ensuring there is robust and transparent reporting which supports both Finance and the Investment portfolios. Additionally, this role will provide analysis that supports the Senior Cost Accountant in challenging forecasted spend and value being

You'll have demonstrable knowledge of financial modelling and strong analytical and Excel skills.You'll have the ability to gather and analyse data, financial and non-financial, from a wide range of sources to interpret and report results in various formats to different audiences. As a confident communicator you will have the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and explain complex financial information in written and verbal form to financial and non-financial people.You will have completed or be studying towards an accounting qualification.About usAs a mutual, we've always worked together to improve the lives of others.
