Full Job Description
London Business School require a Finance Analyst to join us on a fixed term contract until June 2025. You will support delivery of the annual plans for the school and specific objectives for accounts. You will mainly be supporting our Degree Education (DE) department on all of there finance related matters. You will also have great attention to detail as you will assist in ensuring that management information and analysis is accurate and concise, to inform decision making.Main Responsibilities Support preparation and updating of the monthly management packs with;
- timely and accurate preparation and input of revenue, direct costs and opex journals - clear variance analysis with associated actions for mitigating risks identified
- preparation of headcount templates with associated tracking
- KPI reporting such as student numbers and programme profitability Support preparation of finance plans, budgets, forecasts and business cases o input budget and forecast information on an accurate basis according to the timetable;
- ensure that key decisions and assumptions underlying the plans are appropriately challenged o flag key risks, deviation from targets and propose corrective actions at the earliest opportunity
- Support Senior Finance Manager, Degree Education in acting as a primary finance contact for the department
- Provide high quality advice and guidance on aspects of finance from decision support to directing partners to the right sources for help within the wider Finance team
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a variety of audiences. - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise and focus on material issues
- Experience of establishing good control and reconciliation environments
- Advanced IT skills essential, specifically: Excel and ideally Technology one
- Ability to produce effective financial and non-financial management reports, analyses and recommendations
