This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in Finance. You will be joining a friendly Finance team who all share the same passion and commitment to doing the right thing in the best way possible. To support the CCRC to deliver, the Finance team provides a complete in-house service to all staff. We are a small, but dynamic team, working on a varied and busy portfolio. The Finance Apprentice will report to the Finance Manager and will be providing an important finance administrative service across all aspects of our processes. You will need to be keen to learn, have excellent attention to detail skills and have a can-do attitude to really thrive in this role. We will support you to gain a Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant qualification, whilst helping you to develop your skills and knowledge to become a finance professional. You’ll be involved in bookkeeping activities, working with purchase ledgers, supporting the various payment runs and audits, dealing with invoicing and purchase orders, and handling supplier and staff queries., You will experience a wide range of activities including issuing financial requisitions, entering orders into a system, coding invoices, and carrying out general finance tasks, working as a member of the Finance Team. The Finance apprentice is responsible for assisting the finance team members i.e. Finance Officer and Finance Manager. The work included basic bookkeeping activities working with purchase ledgers, running calculations to ensure records and payments are correct and performing data entry and administrative tasks. o Lead: Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent (e.g. GSCE grades A

  • o Lead: At least 2 years working experience within an administrative or finance environment. o Self-motivated team player, who are highly organised with the ability to work at pace and within set timeframes. o Highly accurate and able to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard. o Excellent numerical skills. o Computer literacy with experience of using MS packages to include Word, Excel and Outlook, including the ability to perform complex tasks on excel. o The ability to adapt to new software quickly. o The ability to function well in a team, as they need to provide support as needed. o Excellent organisational and time management skills. o An understanding of the accounts payable and finance function. o An effective communicator and have the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.
