Full Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records, performing routine calculations, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis., Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices, verify financial data, and ensure timely payments.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing clients from our inventory system and following up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers to ensure all payments and invoices are accounted for and properly posted.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the company's financial records match bank statements.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems.
- Maintain and update financial records and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support the Company Directors in budget preparation and forecasting activities.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Process reimbursements and track expenditure.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, photocopying, and handling correspondence.
- Assist with other finance-related tasks and projects as required.
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. - Professional certification such as AAT, ACCA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) is highly desirable.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Access to a car and a valid driver's license are essential due to travel requirements between office locations.
- Highly motivated and proactive.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically.
