JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Finance Assistant Department: Finance & Human Resources Responsible to: Financial Controller Purpose of the job: As part of the finance team within this expanding international college you will help facilitate the smooth running of the finance department, from producing sales invoices to processing purchase invoices, reconciliations as well as helping out with the admissions process. Working hours Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5.30 Core Duties:

  • Processing supplier invoices and preparing and reconciling month end statements.
  • Raising and sending student invoices and statements and ensuring postings are accurate and timely.
  • Reconciling payments with invoices and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Maintaining Debtors ledger to ensure no late payments or bad debts.
  • Maintaining Creditors ledger ensuring that all suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
  • Control the purchase order process, ensuring the process is followed and all orders have been fully authorized.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing weekly supplier payment runs
  • Reporting discrepancies.
  • Suggesting improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and reducing costs.
  • Helping to prepare for yearly audit
  • Helping with the admissions process - sending out offer and invoices, arranging tests and collating results
